Walk to Tomorrow: "Waiting on Love" (Feature/Interview)
How did you start your professional recording career?
Through initial desire and kept working with what was given me as an gift. Perservance and I kept trying to be a good writer and continuing to improve upon my skill.
How did you come up with your single and/or EP?
Wrote it in January over an instrument that was given to me for free by a producer that I've bought a lot of beats off of. Shoutout, Ryini Beats... he does a lot of reach out to artists and he was/is cool with me, God bless his talent.
Took the song into the studio during March-April and in the midst of that time period, I recorded every vocal and arranged some other parts as me, and another producer Whom I work with on and off 'Juvon Taylor' rewored the instrumental that Ryini initially gave me an license to for free and we altered it to the way we preferred it. It was pretty bare bones so there were opportunities to give it a nice change and so that's what me and Juvon did whilst still keeping core elements of the initial instrumental.
What is your genre of music?
Different stuff. In a nutshell - Singer/Songwriter, Pop, faith-based/Christian pop, little R&B influences/Rock, etc
Overall I think I'm an experimental individual.
I'm a songwriter so the story is long.
Who are your influences?
N/A
I like a lot of different artists amongst different genres like Michael Jackson, Eminem, Lecrae, Lewis Capaldi, NF to name a few. I like MANY artists.
I want to be thought of as my own as I am not the artists I listen to or are/have ever been inspired by, they are not me. There's things I can do that they can't do and there's things they can do that I can't do.
I'm building upon my sound so that one day I'm a household name.
How do you define success?
Using your God-given gift to make light shine in the world (without sounding cliche) and being content with your goal once you reach it.
What can we expect from you in 2023 and beyond?
Don't know what to say right now but the music will keep coming out :) Stay tuned!
