Lily Antonini (Feature/Interview)

When did you first realize your ability to sing?

I have started scatting nonsense since the age of 4 I believe, but started taking professional lessons for singing at age 12, so +15 years now! I have many old youtube videos of me singing without training and slowly progressing for the better if you want to see the progress on my youtube channel: MrTwinky321I would say God blessed me with some good ears!
I have also taken piano lessons for 10+ years.

What is your music and message all about?

A lot of my music is to literally “feel good”. I thrive to make people get up, smile, dance, and have those neurons firework in their brains as it happens to me when listening to music. I have synesthesia, so I have many senses that intertwine (such as seeing, feeling, tasting, and other things with music) so my perception of music may be more vivid. My messages in my music tend to be positive, for a better world, having peace and happiness, and other good vibes, as well as emotions that everyone can connect to. My genres include pop, dance, disco, catholic, acapella, jazz, Latin (bilingual), and more!

How would you describe your vocal style?

My vocal style has been described as unique, but if I had to describe it myself, I would say it has a lot of pop influence from what I would listen to as a kid. My range can go from tenor to high soprano ( D3 to Bb5)

What was the hardest part of making this song?

I currently have 160 songs out on all music platforms! (I Tunes, Spotify, etc) under Lily Marie Antonini I am very thankful to God for giving me the gift of making so much music in a short amount of time fluently. I would say my biggest challenge is funding for a professional mic and my home studio. All of my music has been done with iPhone headphones as a mic, my phone, and sometimes my laptop hope this can prove to someone that you can do anything with God’s help, even with limited resources

What was the most enjoyable part of making this song?

Every time I make a song, what motivates me is always the fact that I will get to play the song on repeat after it’s done! I love hearing the finishing product as well as the process. I love when everything comes together, but need to stop myself from adding more and more ideas sometimes!

What is one feeling you want to leave listeners with?

Happiness. When I hear a dance song that excited my brain and makes me feel good, it can change my mood completely and I hope to do that for someone someday

How do you prepare for your live performances?

I am having the biggest honor in the world to be the first bilingual synesthete student/ recent alumni of Berklee College Of Music to host my own Berklee Performance Center (136 Mass Ave, Boston, MA, 02115, USA) concert on July 28 @ 8 PM and it is going to be filled of 18 original songs, talent from across the world, a team of 40+ people, lights, colors, music, dance, and more! This show is the biggest opportunity I have been given so far in my career and am so thankful to God for it. This stage holds 1250 people and is usually given to famous artists or ensembles, so to be the first of so many things is unreal. I would always audition to have a chance to perform at least one song on this stage, and would always get declined. Now I am hosting my own production with a show about my life and identity here. This proves you never should give up on your dreams. In order to prepare for this, I spend 24/7 of my energy and time on it. I was able to find the team in less than a week. We have rehearsals weekly and only had one month to prepare for this huge show! I have some other shows that are easier to handle since they have smaller teams, but still, always rehearse! Info to all my shows is on my linktree link! We hope to see you at them! :)
