Fiona Montt: "C'est La Vie" (Exclusive Interview)

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Argentina

How did you get your start in music?

I started singing since I was little when I found out about my voice, and always loved music. In high school, we got music programs, and got the opportunity to form a band with some school mates. And that was the beginning of everything.

2020 was the year where I began to make covers and upload them in social media.

Is music a big part of your family?

Sadly no. My family aren’t musicians. I can say they are music listeners. But sadly no one sings or plays an instrument.

What is the biggest message you want to bring to your audience?

To always be, make, and do things you like. Don’t let people get you down.

Do things that make you happy. Because in the end, happiness is everything.

Challenge yourself. Don’t let fear hold you back.

What has been the most challenging part of your music journey?

To tell my stories through music. To open myself up and put all my feelings  out there in a piece of paper.

Any good vocal health tips you can share?

To care my voice I usually try not to scream much, try not to expose myself to coldness, as I easily can catch a cold. Try to always drink hot beverages, such as coffee or ginger tea with honey at the end of every meal.

What are your goals for the rest of 2023?

I’m currently in the end of my college career. I’m studying economics. I would love to keep making music, and following my dreams by the fullest, once I finish.
