Amira Noor: "One More Time" (Feature/Interview)

What inspires your music?

I get inspired by life experiences, watching movies, and listening to music.

How did you start your professional recording career?

I started going to a recording studio in Geneva, Switzerland when I was 12 years old. Every week I would go in and record a cover. Eventually, I started writing my own music and recording it there. In 2018, I applied to Berklee College of Music as I wanted to learn more about music and make a career out of it. While studying at Berklee, I took a few classes where I had to professionally record myself at home for homework assignments.  I began writing and recording much more after that.

How did you come up with your single and/or EP?

My first single, “One More Time” was actually written in 2016. My best friend was going through a long-distance relationship at the time so I got inspired and decided to write a song about it. In the beginning, I just wanted piano and vocals to be the main focus. This idea came from Adele’s music as she often just has piano and vocals, however, in 2021 when I rewrote the song, I thought something was missing and decided to add a string section. I had a lot of fun writing this song and I am so grateful to have an amazing team of musicians on my track.

What is your genre of music?

I would say my genres are Pop and R&B.

Who are your influences?

My top influences are Adele and Alicia Keys.

How do you define success?

Success to me is being able to do something every day which makes you happy and you love.

What can we expect from you in 2022 and beyond?

Definitely more music! I am also going to start performing live as that is something I have not done so much. Along with my music career, I am continuing with my modelling and acting career so hopefully I will have some projects released by the end of the year.
