L!KA: 'Back To Light' (Exclusive Interview)

What is the most important thing you want your fans to know about you?

I want my fans to know that I’m not afraid to be unfiltered and authentic. My music is about strength and vulnerability, which exist side by side. I want listeners to feel the same energy I had when writing — that it’s okay to be both soft and strong, broken and powerful, good and bad. We can be all of those things at once. That’s exactly the idea I explore in my new single Back to Light.

What is your recording process like for this song?

The recording process for Back to Light was such a great experience that really helped me connect with myself and with the audience I’m singing to. Some parts flowed out naturally, while others pushed me to dig deeper into my voice and emotions — and that’s what made it feel real. Recording is never truly effortless; you’re on the clock and want every take to be perfect. What made the difference was having a supportive team around me. Having an idea is one thing, but making sure it carries the right energy and message only happens when you’re working with the right people on every level of production.

What do you want your audience to feel when they listen to your music?

I want people to feel seen and heard when they listen to my music. The idea behind this track was to show that we are all bad and good, we are all happy and sad. We are all humans who have to make difficult decisions every day, trying to make sure they align with us internally while also making sure they do not offend anyone. Sometimes life can be truly exhausting. I want my fans to feel that pain, but also use this song as a reminder that we are not perfect all the time, and that is totally OK.

How would you describe your genre and sound?

My genre is commercial edgy pop. It’s emotional and cinematic but also unfiltered. I like blending raw vocals with production that feels big and dramatic, because I want the songs to hit on both sides — the soft and the strong. For me, it’s about creating music that’s real and carries the energy I feel when I write it. - might need help with this one

What are your goals and aspirations going forward?

My biggest goal is to keep growing as an artist and reach more people who connect with my music. I want to be that supportive best friend for my fans, the one who listens when no one else can, by sharing my experiences and listening to theirs. I have never felt as alive as I do on stage, and I want to bring that energy to as many people as possible. For me, live shows are about creating a space where fans feel seen, understood, and free to let it all out. At the end of the day, I want my music to be part of people’s lives, whether it is helping them through something heavy or giving them the energy to dance it out. That is what I am working toward with every release.
